FEASSSA 2022 qualified teams start warm-up exercises
From 23/8/2022, teams that will attend FEASSSA 22 games in Arusha /Tanzania have gathered at their respective schools for intensive practices and preparations ahead of the departure date.
The Technical Director Mr Rurangirwa Aaron visited the training camp of ES Gasiza/Tsinda Batsinde, a football team of 20 boys who are eager to represent the country and come back winners.
In his address, Director Rurangirwa said: “You are not going to Arusha for the sake of travelling, we are expecting you to win and come back with trophy.”
He added: “We are happy with your local performance, so we are expecting you to keep the records and win the trophy. Besides, you have to remember that your victory in FEASSSA 2022 is Rwanda’s victory, and your failure is Rwanda’s failure also.
As there is still time for practice before the departure scheduled on 12 September 2022, Director Rurangirwa called upon the head coach to look for opportunities of a friendly football match with a nearby team, so that ES Gasiza/Tsinda Batsinde can uplift the performance.
Head Coach Mbonimpa Haruna alias Bangala said that ES Gasiza team / Tsinda Batsinde is more than ready for the 2022 Arusha games.
Head Coach Mbonimpa said: Tsinda Batsinde has been practicing for quite a long time and we bear in mind that we are going to be the ambassadors of Rwanda in football, that is why our aim is to keep the flag flying.
Captain Munezero Eugene alias Fruit a student of Literature, French and Kinyarwanda (LFK) in S5 at ES Gasiza, testifies that their team Tsinda Batsinde is confident to come with FEASSSA 2022 cup as a reward of our country’s efforts to support football. “We do daily warm-ups and we are confident that these trainings will bear fruits”
“Our goal is to win, and the victory is ours” he concluded.
Inside other training camps
Mushumba Charles, a Technical Director in Charge of sport in the Federation of School Sports visited Lycée de Kigali (LDK), whereby 12 girls and 12 boys are practising in Basketball ahead of FEASSSA 2022.
Mushumba said that all players are present in the camp and that their performance is so far promising.
He also visited GS Rilima where 4 girls and 4 boys are pursuing intensive exercises in Table Tennis ahead of FEASSSA. Other 2 boys and 2 girls had gone to Uganda for competitions and are expected to come back and continue with the practises with the teams.
Mushumba said that the overall performance is promising, and that Rwanda will be well represented in both Basketball and Table Tennis.
These training camps are meant to prepare players to be fit ahead of proper competitions scheduled in Arusha/Tanzania from the 14th to 26th September 2022.
