Limkokwing University to establish a Creative Technology campus in Kigali

Thursday February 14, 2020: The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education Mr. Samuel Mulindwa, hosted the Limkokwing University team led by Ms. Dato Gail Phung who is the Senior Vice President of the University world-wide in charge of Corporatedevelopment. The discussion of their meeting focussed the Establishment of a Limkokwing University of Creative Technology campus in Kigali as a foreign international university in this year 2020.

  Limkokwing is a TVET model university which offers programmes in design innovation including fashion and textile design, creative multimedia including games and animation, architecture + built environment, digital technology including social media, broadcasting and journalism, ICT such as cyber security, cloud and mobile computing and creative industries including performing arts, music design and business innovation including Entrepreneurship E- commerce and tourism promotion.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Samuel Mulindwa encouraged the Limkokwing University team to invest in education in Rwanda especially in TVET sector for it is among new areas.

Limkokwing is a global university with students from more than 160 countries studying in its Malaysian campus. It has campuses in 10 countries in 3 continents - Asia Europe and Africa, four of which in Africa are Botswana Lesotho Eswatini and Sierra Leone. In 2020, besides Rwanda it will open its doors in Namibia and Uganda.
