Minister Irere hails GS Ruhango ADEPR for fostering innovation and digital skills among learners

The Minister of State for Education, Claudette Irere, visited GS Ruhango ADEPR in Ruhango District to witness how technology is transforming teaching and learning through innovative approaches supported by Right To Play Rwanda.

During the visit, students presented a series of impressive innovations developed under the Plug in Play Project, including a smart irrigation robot, an electric wheelchair, and an automatic water tap. These projects showcased how learners are applying classroom knowledge to create practical solutions that address real-life challenges.

Minister Irere commended the creativity and problem-solving skills demonstrated by the students, emphasizing that such initiatives reflect the growing impact of technology in improving the quality of education. She encouraged the learners to stay committed to their studies and to actively engage in ICT clubs as a way to strengthen their digital and English language skills, which she highlighted as key competencies for success in today’s technology-driven world.

The Minister also expressed appreciation to the teachers and the school community for their dedication to integrating innovation and digital tools in teaching and learning. She noted that their efforts contribute significantly to achieving Rwanda’s vision of providing quality, inclusive, and future-oriented education for all learners.
