Minister of Education Highlights Strategic Commitment to FinTech Innovation at Inclusive FinTech Forum.

This morning, on the opening day of the Inclusive FinTech Forum, Minister of Education Joseph Nsengimana delivered a keynote address highlighting Rwanda’s educational initiatives in financial technology. The Minister emphasized Rwanda’s strategic commitment to innovation, collaboration, and long-term planning to nurture talent, empower youth, and drive global progress in education and professional development.

"In Rwanda, we recognize that innovation is the cornerstone of economic transformation. Our government has prioritized digital infrastructure, financial technology policies, and strategic investments in human capital to foster an enabling environment for fintech growth," said Minister Nsengimana.

He explained Rwanda’s approach, which is anchored in three key pillars:

  1. Progressive Policy & Regulatory Frameworks: The government is fostering an ecosystem that encourages fintech innovation while ensuring financial security and consumer protection.
  2. Public-Private Partnerships: Collaboration between the government, private sector actors, and development partners is driving inclusive growth and expanding financial access.
  3. Investment in Human Capital: Rwanda is equipping the next generation with the digital skills necessary to lead and thrive in the fintech revolution.

Minister Nsengimana's address reinforced the importance of these efforts in driving FinTech innovation, preparing Rwanda’s youth for leadership, and positioning the country as a key player in the evolving global economy.
