Minister of State for Education Joins Groundbreaking Ceremony for Jonathan Academy of Science
The Minister of State for Education, Irere Claudette, joined Israeli diplomats and Eastern Province leaders this morning for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Jonathan Academy of Science in Bugesera District.
While expressing her appreciation to the academy’s founder, Mr. Ody Schashua, the Minister of State highlighted the institution’s significance, stating:
“Today, as we lay the foundation for the Jonathan Academy of Science, we mark a defining moment in this journey. This institution will be more than just a school—it will be a sanctuary for learning, a hub of innovation, and a center of excellence where students from across Rwanda can explore the wonders of science and technology.”
Aligned with Rwanda’s vision of advancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, the academy will play a crucial role in developing the skills and talents needed for national growth. As Rwanda strives to become a knowledge-based economy, investing in STEM education is not just a priority—it is essential. This institution will empower young Rwandans to become innovators, problem-solvers, and future leaders, equipping them to address global challenges in an ever-evolving world.
