Students should embrace eLearning amidst schools' closure due to COVID 19
Wednesday - March 25, 2020: In a bid to continue learning amidst schools’ closure due to Coronavirus prevention guidelines, Telecommunication companies such as MTN Rwanda and Airtel-Tigo Rwanda have partnered with the Ministry of Education to support students study online and henceforth, announce the following resources available free of charge ;
For pre-primary, primary and secondary schools; an online platform elearning.reb.rw has been set up and all courses as per national curriculum are uploaded. There are also questions that can be used in the assessment. Reach out to @REBRwanda for more info.
The website elearning.rp.ac.rw contains courses for vocational learners at all levels (TVET and IPRCs). Reach out to @RwandaPolytec for more info.
The website elearning.ur.ac.rw contains courses for UR students in all faculties. Students from private universities are encouraged to use them as well. Reach out to @Uni_Rwanda for more info.
For those with no connectivity access, especially students preparing for the national exams, there are other planned programs to support you in partnership with various radio and television stations. We will communicate the programs in the coming days.
The plan to distribute computers to students is currently undergoing revision taking into consideration private students as well those on government loan. There is need for a sustainable solution for all students to acquire these devices. The revised plan will be shared once approved.
